It was the perfect start to the weekend for Manchester United.
The Reds were given a huge boost on Thursday when Jose Mourinho
committed his future to the club by signing a contract extension.
Mourinho agreed a new deal which will see him extend his stay until 2020, with the option of a further year.
After signing the contract, Mourinho said: “I am really honoured and proud to be Manchester United manager. I would like to say a big thank you to the owners and to Mr Woodward for the recognition of my hard work and dedication. I am delighted they feel and trust that I am the right manager for this great club for the foreseeable future.
And the day could get even better when United travel to face Yeovil tonight, with Alexis Sanchez poised to be make his debut in the FA Cup tie.
